Program Description

Accounting information describes the financial position and performance of an organization. The Accounting Business Systems program provides students with the applied skills and knowledge of accounting with an emphasis on computerized accounting applications. Students will be able to handle functions including accounts receivable/payable, inventory control, payroll, bookkeeping, cost accounting, credit and collections. Accounting associates may assist management in processing accounting information into financial reports and statements. Learners will gain knowledge of accounting as an information system for planning and controlling business operations and they will gain skills in the implementation of computer applications and systems..

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Accounting Business Systems program find jobs in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, cost accounting, inventory control, credit and collections, and payroll. With experience, Accounting Business Systems graduates may become office managers.
