Program Description

This program combines general
business courses with specific financial service courses designed
to appeal to those who would like to work in a fast-paced, professional
business environment. The curriculum in this program includes
a number of specialized courses developed by the Institute of
Canadian Bankers including the Investment Funds in Canada course,
designed for individuals who wish to be certified to sell mutual
funds. In addition, students who are hired by a financial institution
may wish to continue their studies with the Institute. Banking-specific
courses taken in the Business Management - Financial Services
program may be used as prerequisites for other Institute programs,
specifically the Personal Financial Counseling, Planning and Trust
programs. The curriculum also includes courses developed by the
Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), and the Insurance Institute
of Canada. |

a number of front-line and behind-the-scenes positions in banks
and other financial services institutions. Specific roles have
included Customer Service Representatives, Personal Banking Representatives
and Financial Services Consultants. The financial services industry

environment and strong customer-service oriented professionals. |
